Liposuction surgery can be performed on any area of the body and the technique is often used as part of other cosmetic surgery procedures such as the Tummy Tuck and Breast Reduction. At The UNI HAIR CLINIC we always aim to ensure that our clients get the right procedure for them which is why we offer:
Liposuction surgery can be performed on any area of the body and the technique is often used as part of other cosmetic surgery procedures.
Vaser Liposuction uses minimally invasive state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to precisely target and remove areas of unwanted fat.
Despite a healthy lifestyle and exercise, we can often find areas and pockets of fat that are hard to remove. Although this is perfectly natural and not harmful, many seek to remove these fat pockets in favour of a more slender and defined silhouette.
Vaser Liposuction, also known as Liposculpture, is an advanced fat removal technique that contours and sculpts your body. Vaser Liposuction enhances your natural features and creates a defined and toned physique. Depending on the sculpting level desired, the surgeon performs a high definition, middle definition or standard Vaser Liposuction.
Vaser Liposuction uses minimally invasive state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to precisely target and remove areas of unwanted fat. Taking advantage of the ultrasound energy and the heat produced by the vaser probe, the suregon is able to strategically melt the fat before extracting it out, achieving far better results than traditional liposuction, where the fat is not melted. For this reason, Vaser Liposuction is considered far superior than traditional liposuction.
At UNI HAIR CLINIC Group we always aim to ensure that our patients get the right procedure for them and take the time to understand your individual needs and goals.

Treatment options available:
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) – This procedure is approved by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). It uses a laser and the treatment is performed under a local anaesthetic and destroys the veins from the inside. It is used to treat the underlying condition and combats the appearance as well as the symptoms. The procedure usually takes about 1-2 hours depending on how many veins need treating and you can return home the same day.
Sclerotherapy – This involves injecting a solution into the varicose veins which causes them to shrink and disappear over time. This procedure is minimally invasive and takes less than an hour.
What to expect from the Procedure
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)
Is performed under a local anaesthetic, and only requires a small wound to be made at the access site of the treated leg. During the procedure an ultrasound scan will be performed on your leg to mark the position of the veins intended for treatment. A laser is used to obliterate (seal) the faulty vein, and you will be able to go home on the day of treatment.
Aftercare
At The UNI HAIR CLINIC Group care is at our core and we are here for you every step of your journey. Before your surgeon discharges you from the hospital or clinic you will be given post-operative instructions and a sheet explaining what to do and what to avoid doing following your procedure. Also, you will be asked to attend a post-operative appointment with both the clinic nurse and your surgeon.
We are also available to help 24/7 after the procedure and have an out of hours service to ensure you are looked after.
It can take between 1 – 2 hours dependant on the treatment type and number of veins that need treating. Our expert surgeons will be able to provide more details in a consultation.
Varicose Veins can form anywhere in the body, but they are most often located in the legs. Varicose Veins tend to be inherited and become more prominent as a person ages. The veins in the leg are either superficial or deep. The superficial veins and their branches are close to the skin.
Veins have bivalved valves that help direct flow towards the heart. A malfunction of venous valves causes blood to pool and prevents the flow. This presents as visibly swollen and tortuous veins. It is usually asymptomatic and you may notice discolouration or swollen veins, especially in the legs and feet. Few people also experience leg pain, itching and swollen legs.
Varicose Veins do not always need treatment. If your Varicose Veins are not causing you discomfort, you may not need to have treatment.
Treatment of Varicose Veins is usually only necessary to:
A follow up appointment will be made post-surgery either the next day or within few days to assess healing. There will be swelling after the treatment and the real results of your procedure will not be visible until after the initial swelling caused by the treatment has completely gone. You should then see a vast improvement.
This is considered a minor procedure and will require minimal time off work. However this is dependant on each individual and the occupation. We will go through this and advise you accordingly during the consultation.
Varicose Veins are usually caused by weak vein walls and valves. Inside your veins are tiny one-way valves that open to let the blood through, and then close to prevent it flowing backwards. Sometimes the walls of the veins become stretched and lose their elasticity, causing the valves to weaken.
With more advanced techniques and a local anaesthetic there is minimal to no pain. The treatments we deliver at The UNI HAIR CLINIC for Varicose Veins allow you to go home the same day. Also, before your surgeon discharges you from the hospital or clinic you will be given post-operative instructions and a sheet explaining what to do and what to avoid doing following your procedure.

The Procedure for Liposuction Surgery
Liposuction or Fat Removal surgery is performed either under general anaesthetic or under local anaesthetic with sedation, and is often treated as a day case, meaning you will not have to stay in hospital overnight.
The procedure usually takes between one and two hours to complete depending on the area being treated and how much fat is being removed.
Your surgeon will make a small incision in the area being treated before inserting a thin plastic tube called a cannula. The other end of this cannula is attached to a powerful vacuum device which removes the fat quickly and efficiently.
You will need to book in for a free consultation where a nurse will assess your BMI (body mass index) to ensure the procedure is suitable for you. If you are very overweight it is likely that you will not be suitable for liposuction as there are physical limits to the amount of fat that can safely be removed from the body. Liposuction is a procedure best suited for body sculpting rather than weight loss.
Liposuction surgery is a cosmetic procedure to remove small areas of unwanted body fat. Lipo is performed on areas of the body that are prone to fat deposit build-up such as the stomach, thighs, hips and arms.
‘How is Liposuction done’? Is a common, and understandable question. Liposuction is performed either under general anaesthetic or under local anaesthetic with sedation. A small incision in the area being treated will be made by your surgeon, a thin plastic tube called a cannula is then inserted. The cannula is attached to a powerful vacuum device which removes the fat quickly and efficiently.
Your surgeon will take you through the process step-by-step during your consultation.
Liposuction is generally performed on any part of the body that is prone to fatty deposits. The post popular body areas for Liposuction are:
Thighs (inner and outer) – the most common area of the thigh to have Liposuction is on the inner thigh to address the complaint of the inner thighs rubbing together. We often recommend considering having Liposuction to the inner knee for symmetrical reasons. Liposuction to the outer thigh is often performed along with treatment to the hips and flanks.
Calves – Liposuction to the calves is generally performed on the inner calves around the knee area. Calves are a notoriously difficult area to treat as much of the bulk is caused by muscle rather than fat. Also, Liposuction around the calves can change the profile of the entire lower leg. yet subtle Lipo-sculpting can create a curve from the calf to the ankle creating a tapering effect.
Flanks (also known as ‘love handles’) – this is the area found on the lower back above the buttocks. Liposuction for love handles is a very common treatment area for both men and women as there are very few exercises that work this area, which would enable you to burn the excess fat deposits. Hips and flanks are often treated together.
Hips – the hips are a difficult place to target with exercise alone. Liposuction to the hips has become increasingly popular following the growing trend for an hourglass figure. For many Liposuction removes small pockets of stubborn fat creating a more streamlined silhouette.
Face, neck and chin – Liposuction to the face and neck removes excess fat deposits to create a more rejuvenated appearance, which results in a subtle and natural full face lift with fewer scars. We often recommend pairing face and neck Liposuction with facial skin tightening treatments and Skin Peels to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Arms (also known as bingo wings) – arms are one of the most visible parts of the body, which is why Liposuction on the arms is a popular procedure to help reduce the appearance of loose, aged skin and remove any excess fat. When Liposuction to the upper arm area is combined with skin tightening the results can give you an overall thinner and more youthful appearance.
Stomach – even with exercising it can be difficult to get a flat stomach, particularly following pregnancy, which is why Liposuction to the stomach and waist is one of our most popular areas for Liposuction surgery. Depending on the type of Lipo undertaken, the results can vary from a giving you a flattened stomach to an intricately sculpted and defined look.
Some areas of the body are only treated with Vaser Liposuction or Promax Laser Liposuction due to the size of the area or level of definition required.
Significant fat loss will be noticeable immediately following a Liposuction procedure, and these results will continue to improve as the swelling goes down.
There will be considerable swelling, which is managed with a specially designed compression garment, for the first week or two following the procedure, as the swelling subsides more dramatic results will be discernable.
There is then gradual improvement until final results are evident, approximately three or four months after surgery.
We are often asked is Liposuction surgery good for weight loss and how much weight is lost with it? At The UNI HAIR CLINIC we think it is very important to understand that Lipo surgery is not a weight loss tool. Liposuction should only be used to treat resistant areas of fat that healthy eating and exercise alone cannot remove.
The follow-up question is often how much fat can be removed? This depends entirely which part of the body is being treated and how much fat there is to be removed. Please be assured that your surgeon will remove enough fat to get the ideal results.
During Liposuction surgery, fat cells are permanently removed from the treated area to create a new body shape. Once the excess fat cells have been removed, they do not grow back. This means that the results are more or less permanent if a healthy lifestyle, including a good diet and exercise is maintained.
If a moderate amount of weight is gained following Liposuction then the figure will simply be a larger version of the new body shape. However, there is evidence that if there is a more significant increase in weight after fat removal the body will redistribute any excess fats between the remaining cells. For example, if Lipo surgery was performed on the stomach and there was considerable subsequent weight gain, the stomach would remain relatively flat but fat cells in the thighs and flanks may increase to compensate.
All surgical procedures carry some degree of risk and Liposuction is no exception. Generally, when the treatment is performed by a specialist cosmetic surgeon classically trained in Liposuction and Lipo-sculpture and is performed within a fully equipped hospital, Fat Removal surgery is widely regarded as a safe, low risk operation.
If the surgeon is not specially trained there is an increased risk that an internal organ is punctured by the cannula causing post-operative complications.
Long-term risks are related to weight gain. Following the removal of fat cells, an increase in weight can cause your body to store the new fat in a different location, this new fat can grow deep inside your body and around your organs, such as your heart or liver.
Platysmaplasty, is a surgical procedure by which any loose skin along the jaw line and on the neck itself is removed.
Changes to your vagina can occur throughout your life, for example as a result of childbirth, ageing, menopause, hormone deficiency related to cancer therapy or weight loss. If these changes are causing you concern, FemiLift is a vaginal rejuvenation treatment that can help you to lead a more comfortable and satisfying feminine life.
Vaginal rejuvenation is a non-surgical procedure that can help to treat a range of common feminine issues, such as vaginal dryness, Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI), recurring infections and vaginal laxity.
FemiLift uses CO2 laser technology to gently heat vaginal tissue and contract existing fibers. Vaginal tissue is made up of collagen, and FemiLift treatment helps to stimulate the formation of new collagen to improve the entire vaginal area’s functionality. The main benefits of FemiLift is that there are little to no side-effects, and very little downtime is required following the procedure – meaning you can get back to everyday life almost straight away.
FemiLift is most suitable for women over the age of 50, however the procedure is also suitable for younger women who may experience vaginal looseness and bladder leakage following childbirth.
During your FemiLift treatment, your surgeon will insert a hygienic probe into your vagina which allows the laser to target the designated area. A standard FemiLift treatment takes less than 30 minutes, and a course of 3-4 treatments are recommended for the best results.
Research has shown that FemiLift can help to increase lubrication, normalise blood flow and help to increase immune resistance to recurring infections in the vagina. The treatment can also help to restore the strength and elasticity of the vaginal walls, improving symptoms of vaginal atrophy and vaginal dryness following a series of 3-4 treatments.
FemiLift is suitable for women of all ages over 18.
A typical FemiLift treatment takes under 30 minutes or less.
There is no downtime required with FemiLift treatment, as anaesthetic is not needed. This means that you can visit the clinic for a treatment during your lunch break, and you should be able to resume your normal activities straight away.
Results of FemiLift treatment are normally seen as soon as the procedure is completed.
In order to maintain the results of FemiLift, a course of treatment may be recommended, and follow up treatments may also be required every few months
FemiLift causes no side effects and is a completely safe procedure.
As FemiLift is a minimally invasive laser treatment, it does not cause any pain and no anaesthetic is needed
As FemiLift only treats the vaginal area, your reproductive system will not be affected in any way. However following treatment, it is recommended that you avoid sex for about 48 hours.
restoring youthfulness to the face and despite the name, this procedure helps to improve the appearance of the overall eye area
Female incontinence is a common condition and many women suffer in silence. It is common after pregnancy and menopause which means women are twice as likely to suffer from urinary leakage as men. It occurs when the pelvic floor muscles are weakened. It can be mild urinary incontinence when coughing or laughing to more constant leakage, with many women wearing a pad to manage the condition.
At UNI HAIR CLINIC Group we understand that having urinary incontinence can impact your quality of life. Therefore we are pleased to offer the revolutionary BTL Emsella treatment that can help you regain control and your confidence.
This advanced non-invasive treatment stimulates and tightens the pelvic floor muscles, alleviating urinary incontinence.
It uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic frequencies to target the pelvic floor muscles and muscles at the neck of the bladder. Muscles contract and release quickly similar to pelvic floor exercises however with Emsella in just a single session it can stimulate the equivalent of 11,000 pelvic floor exercises in approximately 30 minutes. The clever technology also targets the entire pelvic floor, generating much deeper contractions than manual pelvic floor exercises.
To benefit from the treatment you simply need to sit on the Emsella chair fully clothed. It is especially effective for resolving uncontrollable female incontinence, with over 95% of patients being ‘highly satisfied’ with results.
Muscle weakness in the pelvic floor causes leakages. This can be the result of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as age–particularly the menopause. Obesity or straining through lifting, heavy exercise and constipation can also cause stress related incontinence. And nerve damage is another leading contributor–sometimes caused by illnesses, such as diabetes and multiple sclerosis.
Patients sit on the Emsella chair in comfortable clothing, while electromagnetic fields stimulate the movement nerves in the pelvic floor. Users describe the sensation created as a tingling feeling that isn’t painful. There is no recovery time for this therapy and users can resume normal activity straight after.
Treatment sessions are booked in a block of 6, taking place over two weeks. If you have periods, please select a start date immediately after menstruation has finished, so that sessions can be completed before your next period is due. If you do menstruate during your treatment time frame then we will pause therapy until bleeding stops.
Users describe the sensation created as a tingling feeling that isn’t painful.
If uncontrollable/daily urinary leaking is affecting your quality of life, this treatment could be the solution. Over 95% of patients are highly satisfied with the therapy. In fact many women see immediate results and find that after a course of six treatments over just two weeks, they have enough pelvic floor strength to maintain bladder control themselves with regular pelvic floor exercises.
Poor bladder control may have several causes and can often be helped by some lifestyle changes and simple techniques.
Please note that BTL Emsella therapy is not suitable during pregnancy, or if you have an electrical medical device such as a pacemaker. You can rest assured that our team will take a full medical history to assess your suitability for this treatment.
adding shape and fullness to a receding chin, or to alter the overall shape of the face, often to balance and proportion
Cosmetic Gynaecology is one of our fastest growing surgical procedures, with women increasingly realising that they don’t have to simply accept something that’s making them unhappy. We meet women every day who have either always been unhappy with their vagina or have become unhappy due to natural changes from childbirth, ageing or weight loss.
Also known as Vaginal Reshaping & Tightening Surgery and Vaginoplasty, our specialist Gynaecological Surgeons can perform surgery on the outer areas of the genitalia – the pubis mound and Labia Minora – and on the inside if the surgeon is tightening the area. Women can also change the way their Labia and surrounding vaginal tissue look with the help of Vaginoplasty, significantly reducing embarrassment or discomfort.
Cosmetic Gynaecology, especially Vaginal Tightening & Reshaping (Vaginoplasty), a.k.a. ‘Designer Vagina’ surgery, has become increasingly popular over the last few years, particularly with new mums as the vaginal muscles can be left loose and weak after child birth.
Some women experience specific problems, such as lack of sensation and satisfaction during intercourse. The Vaginal Tightening and Refashioning procedure improves the way your vagina looks, feels and functions; and can have dramatic results in terms of restoring your confidence and self-esteem.
Vaginoplasty can also be performed alongside a number of other procedures, such as a Labiaplasty.
A Labiaplasty (often known as Labial Reduction surgery) is a surgical procedure that reshapes and reduces the Labia Minora/Majora, the inner and outer of the ‘lips’ that surround the opening of the vagina.
Women can have Cosmetic Gynaecology to change the way their labia and surrounding vaginal tissue look with the help of Vaginoplasty. If you are unhappy with the appearance of your genitalia, or if it is causing you embarrassment or discomfort, book in for a consultation with one of our experienced nurses or surgeons to see how this surgery could help you regain your body confidence.
The clitoral hood, or prepuce, is the tissue that naturally drapes and conceals the clitoris to protect against over-stimulation. This sheath naturally retracts during sexual intercourse leaving the clitoris exposed. However some women with excess prepuce find they cannot climax as the surplus tissue limits stimulation.
Hoodectomy or Hoodoplasty removes the excess tissue allowing the clitoris to become more easily exposed enabling women to experience improved sexual sensitivity.
During childbirth the Fourchette may be torn; to limit damage to the woman’s body the midwife may perform an Episiotomy, deliberately cutting from the Fourchette and continuing back along the perineum toward the anus. The incision can, on occasion over-repair itself leaving a raised area within the vagina that can become sore and cause pain during intercourse.
Fourchette Reconstruction, or Refashioning, is a procedure that removes the rigid scar tissue enabling you to be more comfortable with your body.
Perineal Refashioning is a procedure to improve the appearance and the muscle tone of the perineum area which has been damaged by an Episiotomy or tear during childbirth. Excess scar tissue is excised, and the perineal body reconstructed, thereby restoring the appearance of the vulva, and the tone at the Fourchette.
Vaginal Reshaping and Tightening surgery differs from patient to patient depending on exactly which area of the genitalia is being operated on. For instance, surgery can be performed to reduce the length or change the shape of the Labia Minora (the inner lips of the vagina).
For some people, the pubis mound can appear larger than they would like it to and this is particularly noticeable when naked or when wearing lingerie or swimwear. The mound can be reduced quickly and easily, simply by removing the excess fatty tissue and reshaping the area above the vulva.
We can also tighten the vagina itself in order to enhance the feelings of sexual gratification or simply to return your vagina to the way it was before childbirth. This is achieved by reconstructing the outer third of the vagina, the internal diameter and the vaginal opening.
Remember, you are not alone in wanting to alter the appearance or shape of your vagina and our surgeons understand the many different reasons why women want to undergo Vaginoplasty.
Reasons for having Labial Reduction with The UNI HAIR CLINIC Group
Labial Reduction is the term used to describe a range of surgical procedures that reduce the size, shape and prominence of the labia.
Labial Reduction takes between one and two hours and can be performed under local anaesthesia, which means you will be awake but the area will be completely numb, or under a general anaesthesia which means you are asleep during the procedure. Any cuts that are made are carefully placed to prevent scarring along the rim of the labia and are closed with dissolvable sutures.
You can expect mild discomfort and swelling for a few days after the operation which usually disappears completely after 3-4 weeks. This can be managed by taking painkillers. A week after surgery you should be able to return to work, and be able to resume normal daily activity after 2-3 weeks. However we advise against sexual activity for 4-6 weeks following surgery, and tampons should not be used during the first six weeks.
In the first week after surgery the area is likely to be swollen and bruised. An ice pack or bag of frozen peas can be used to alleviate the discomfort and reduce the swelling but make sure that the ice does not come into direct contact with the skin. Wrap the ice pack with a soft towel to protect the skin. You will be given a leaflet that explains fully how to look after the vulval area in the week following surgery.
The labial incisions usually heal quickly and are rarely noticeable.
Reasons for having Clitoral Hoodoplasty with UNI HAIR CLINIC
The clitoral hood, or prepuce, is the tissue that naturally drapes and conceals the clitoris; it is the most forward extension of the Labia Minora, and is lifted out of the way for clitoral exposure during Clitoral Hoodoplasty.
The Hoodoplasty is performed under anaesthesia to ensure patient safety and comfort and generally takes less than one hour to perform even when combined with a Labiaplasty, as it is a relatively straightforward procedure. The technique used is bilateral excision of the tissues covering the clitoris .When the clitoral hood is being reduced, the clitoris and nerves are not actually being affected. This is not a circumcision procedure.
Patients experience minimal recovery time and are able to return to work in 3-5 days and resume exercise and sexual activity within approximately 3-5 weeks. Some swelling and minor discomfort should be expected during the healing phase. Sitting for long periods may be painful and this includes driving (which should be avoided temporarily). Strenuous exercise and lifting has to be temporarily suspended until swelling is reduced and healing is complete.
The visual enhancement will be noticeable immediately after surgery and improvements will continue for the first three weeks, as swelling resolves.
Reasons for having Clitoral Hoodoplasty with UNI HAIR CLINIC
The procedure is a commonly performed operation in which any scar tissue that hasn’t healed satisfactorily is removed. In the procedure, this scar tissue is cut out and then the edges of the new incision are placed together and re-stitched. The surgery is done on healed a tissue (which is why such an operation is usually left until at least six months after childbirth); it is much easier to place the edges together accurately and to avoid any mismatches of tissue edges that can lead to a painful scar.
Fourchette Reconstruction is usually performed under general anaesthesia as a day case procedure. An overnight stay in the hospital can sometimes be advised.
It is important to make sure that you have plenty of rest after your surgery and take 1-2 weeks off work to fully recover. You should avoid driving for 1 to 2 weeks; heavy lifting for 2-3 weeks and sexual activity for 6 weeks following surgery
Vaginoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure that is designed to tighten the vagina, and is also known as Posterior Colporrhaphy. It is often used to rebuild the vagina following severe stretching as a result of childbirth or ageing.
Choosing to have Vaginal Reshaping and Tightening surgery
There are many reasons why people choose to have Vaginal Reshaping and Tightening surgery, including:
The final decision will be made between you and your Cosmetic Surgeon. The procedure is ideal for new mothers who find that the appearance of their genitalia has changed due to childbirth, for women who are unhappy with the appearance of their genitalia, or if it is a cause of embarrassment or discomfort.
UNI HAIR CLINIC Group has been committed to providing excellence in Cosmetic Surgery and Laser & Skin Treatments in turkey since it was established. During this time, we have developed a full understanding of the many reasons why people choose to have Vaginal Reshaping and Tightening surgery and how it can improve how they feel about themselves.
If you have experienced severe stretching of the vaginal tissue and muscles as a result of childbirth or ageing, vaginal tightening (known as vaginoplasty) is a type of cosmetic procedure that can reconstruct the vagina and pelvic floor. Or surgeon may advice you non surgical laser treatment.
A Hoodectomy (also known as a Hoodoplasty) is a cosmetic surgery procedure to remove the excess tissue that surrounds the clitoris. This allows the clitoris to become more easily exposed.
If you are self conscious about the size of your Labia Minora (skin flaps either side of the vaginal opening), a Labiaplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure that can reduce them.
Labiaplasty is one of the most common female cosmetic surgery procedures in turkey and may help to improve the self esteem of patients who are worried about the appearance of their vagina.
Labiaplasty surgery is not recommended for girls under the age of 18.
Some numbness may be experienced immediately following Labiaplasty, however loss of feeling in the longer term is uncommon. In comparison, many patients experienced increased sensation due to the removal of excess skin that may have previously been uncomfortable.
It normally takes two – three weeks for the Labia Minora to heal following surgery.
Things to Consider
It is important that your decision to have a Cosmetic Surgery procedure is considered carefully.

At UNI HAIR CLINIC Group, we are specialists in cosmetic procedures and receive regular enquiries about Fat Removal procedures such as Liposuction or Tummy Tucks. For the best results, these procedures should only be used for body contouring after weight loss, not primarily for weight loss.
Helping patients to achieve a heal their body weight and lifestyle
Over 10 million adults in the Turkey are classified as obese, which is based on a body mass index – BMI – of above 30kg. Maintaining a healthy weight in today’s world is an ever increasing challenge and many people are turning to weight loss procedures for a long term solution. Do any of the following apply to you?
At UNI HAIR CLINIC, we are specialists in cosmetic procedures and receive regular enquiries about Fat Removal procedures such as Liposuction and Tummy Tucks. For the best results, these procedures should be used for body contouring after weight loss and not primarily for weight loss.
It’s important to reduce your weight to a healthy level before contemplating any of our safe, weight loss procedures*. Weight Loss Surgery is a specialist discipline with a very different set of skills so we refer our weight loss clients with a BMI over 32kg/m2 to our partner provider, Healthier Weight.
There are four main procedures, and these are:
A gastric bypass procedure is also available but this is targeted at people with specific needs. If it is relevant to you we will discuss it when we speak to you
*Weight loss results and benefits vary and are different for every individual. Specific weight loss goals cannot be guaranteed.
There are a number of different reasons why people might choose to undergo weight loss procedures, including:
You are likely to be eligible for a weight loss procedure if:
If you have reached the point at which you believe you have exhausted dietary changes alone as a way to manage your weight, a weight loss procedure could be a good long term solution. When assessing your eligibility, we will use the above criteria but will also consider the following:
When having a weight loss procedure it is important to remember that it is only a means by which to help you change your diet and eating habits. It does this very effectively but all successful patients will say that sustained success also requires a commitment to make behavioural changes.
*Weight loss results and benefits vary and are different for every individual. Specific weight loss goals cannot be guaranteed.
The most popular private weight loss procedure in the Turkey with significant amounts of long-term data to support it, is Gastric Band surgery. It is both a safe and effective weight loss procedure. It could be suitable for you if your BMI is between 32-45kg/m2 *
Gastric Band surgery is a relatively quick procedure taking just over 30 minutes. It’s done under general anaesthetic with over 90% of patients treated as day cases and going home on the day of their surgery.
The surgery involves placing an adjustable silicone band around the top of the stomach to create a small golf ball sized pouch just above the band with the larger stomach below. It works by restricting the amount of food you can eat as this new pouch becomes full after only a small portion. This means that as long as you are eating foods of the right texture and slowly, you will feel full much sooner and for longer.
The stomach is not cut in any way so the procedure is completely reversible. The main advantage of the Gastric Band is that the restriction is adjustable. Tubing that comes off the band connects to an access port stitched to the abdominal wall about an inch below the surface of the skin, close to the belly button. The port is not visible but can be felt by an experienced bariatric nurse who can access the port and adjust the restriction of the band by inflating or deflating with saline.
Things to consider
This surgical procedure involves removing over 80% of the stomach to leave a narrow banana shaped stomach. It is a relatively new procedure but has grown in popularity, especially in the NHS, partly because it offers rapid weight loss and relatively low maintenance. A Gastric Sleeve could be for you if your BMI is above 40kg/m2 and you have struggled with your weight for a long time or don’t feel you could work with a Gastric Band.
It works by both reducing stomach capacity and by reducing production of Ghrelin, a gut hormone which is closely associated with appetite.
The procedure is performed using keyhole surgery under general anaesthetic and takes an experienced sleeve surgeon just over an hour to complete. A small tube (called a bougie) is placed through the mouth into the stomach and the surgeon will cut along this using it as a guide to ‘size’ the new smaller stomach. You will usually stay in hospital for one night after surgery.
Things to consider
The Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty or ESG is a new non-surgical version of Gastric Sleeve surgery that involves stitching the stomach together from the inside into a banana shaped sleeve. It works by reducing stomach capacity and by slowing the speed with which the stomach empties.
The ESG could be suitable for you if your BMI is between 32-45kg/m2, and you have exhausted diet options. The procedure offers similar results to Gastric Sleeve Surgery but as a non-surgical alternative, it has a lower risk profile and faster recovery. The ESG could be a good option for you if you are not willing to consider having over 80% of your stomach removed or you don’t feel you could comply with a higher maintenance procedure such as a Gastric Band.
The procedure is done under general anaesthetic and takes about 75 minutes to complete. A stitching instrument is placed into the stomach through the mouth and a series of stitches are made along the length of the stomach to narrow it. Unlike Gastric Sleeve surgery, none of the stomach is removed. You will usually stay in hospital for one night after surgery.
Things to consider
A Gastric Ballon is the least invasive of all of the weight loss procedures as it is a temporary procedure with the balloon removed after 6 months. It works by restricting the available space in the stomach for food.
A Gastric Balloon could be suitable for you if your BMI is over 27kg/m2 and you have exhausted diet options but are not prepared to consider surgery.
The procedure is done under light sedation and takes only 15 minutes to complete. You will be discharged to return home the same day. The deflated balloon is inserted through the mouth and when in the stomach, is inflated with saline before the tube is removed to leave the balloon floating freely in the stomach. The balloon occupies a large percentage of the stomach’s capacity which means that you can eat very little before you feel full.
Things to consider
It is only a temporary procedure and will be removed after 6 months
It is not surgery so leaves no scars or wounds and no permanent change to the body
You are likely to experience a period of nausea following the procedure as your body adjusts to the balloon being in place. Although uncomfortable, this usually passes after a few days
You will be required to follow a post procedure diet of 2 weeks liquids and 2 weeks soft foods before returning to normal foods
More than any other procedure, you will be required to commit to lifelong changes in your diet and eating behaviours in order to maintain your weight loss once the balloon is removed
Before your procedure we will collect background information from you about your general health along with your surgical, weight and diet history. We will then meet you for a free face to face consultation at which you will discuss your options with a surgeon.
Should you decide to go ahead with a weight loss procedure you will receive a call from our nursing team in the week beforehand to complete a pre-operative assessment to ensure that you are ready for your procedure.
You will be called by our team a couple of days after your surgery to see how you are, and you will then be invited to attend a review appointment two weeks later. You will also be given our emergency contact telephone number.
Good long term weight loss outcomes require good aftercare from a specialist team.
Things to consider before Weight Loss surgery
The main thing to consider before having any weight loss procedure is whether you have genuinely reached the point at which you have exhausted the dietary options available to you. Most weight loss surgery patients have tried various diets over a long period of time, and will be at the point when they are no longer making progress or they can’t face another bout of so called ‘yo-yo’ dieting.
To be successful with any procedure you need to be ready to make a commitment to permanent changes to your lifestyle, diet and eating habits. We will discuss these changes in detail before and during your consultation prior to undergoing the surgery.
The procedure will help you make those changes but there is still a requirement for the patient to work with the procedure in order to achieve good results for the long term as well as the short.
*Weight loss results and benefits vary and are different for every individual. Specific weight loss goals cannot be guaranteed.
Fillers to treat facial wrinkles
As we gain weight, either through puberty, pregnancy or lifestyle choices our skin stretches to accommodate our new shape. Rapid weight gain can cause the skin to develop stretch marks, and equally, if you lose weight too quickly, it can leave you with loose skin. If you’re extremely lucky your skin will snap back as it once was, but if you’re part of the 99% who doesn’t have phenomenal skin elasticity you may be left with loose skin on your tummy, as well as other areas including thighs and arms.
A Tummy Tuck, or Abdominoplasty, is a popular procedure for anyone carrying excess skin on their abdomen.
Feeling self-conscious about your figure can make it really difficult to be confident in yourself and can even stop you wearing outfits you’d love to look good in. Having a firm, flat stomach can make a huge difference to the way you feel and when it’s not possible to achieve this through diet and exercise alone, Tummy Tuck surgery can be the right option.
Choice is always a good thing. It means that you can make the right decisions for you, based on your needs and your desired end result. However, choice can also be confusing and overwhelming, which is why we would like to help guide you to the right procedure or treatment for you.
At UNI HAIR CLINIC Group we offer a range of procedure to help you make your right decision.
Whether you can have a Tummy Tuck is dependent on your skin’s elasticity.
When we are young our skin is taut and supple due to an abundance of the proteins Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and Elastin. As we age our body starts to produce less of these essential proteins which means our skin loses its bounce and elasticity. For some people this natural ageing process is very gradual, meaning they are still eligible for a Tummy Tuck procedure well into their 40s, for others the process is rapid and the skin loses its elasticity at an earlier age. This means that you may only have a small area of concern to treat, but if we performed a Tummy Tuck on your skin, it would not ‘ping’ back and you would be left with more excess skin than you had before.
Who should have a Mini Tummy Tuck?
A Mini Tummy Tuck, or Partial Tummy Tuck, is very similar to a Full Abdominoplasty but it targets a much smaller area i.e. below the belly button and above the bikini line.
While you are standing you may look like you have a perfect figure, but when you sit down, you have a small amount of skin that may sit above your bikini line or knickers. This excess skin is commonly the result of pregnancy or slight weight loss, and cannot be addressed through exercise and healthy eating.
A Mini Tummy Tuck only addresses concerns on the lower abdomen, it does not address any problem areas around or above the belly button, for this you would require a full tummy tuck.
At your consultation you will discuss whether a Mini or Full Abdominoplasty is right for you. If you proceed with a Mini Abdominoplasty, any excess skin and fat below your belly button and above your bikini line will be removed and muscles in the area will be tightened. You will not see any difference above your navel, nor will the surgery treat the area around your hips as this would give an uneven result. If you feel that you would benefit from your hips being treated for a more defined result you can combine an Abdominoplasty with Liposuction.
The surgery itself will be performed under general anaesthetic and takes between one to two hours. Your Cosmetic Surgeon will then remove any excess skin before tightening the muscles and pulling the remaining skin into position and stitching back into place.
Following your surgery you will have a scar but this will sit along the bikini line, lower on the body than a Full Abdominoplasty scar. Your Mini Tummy Tuck scar will also be smaller, only little larger than a C-Section scar, rather than the traditional hip-to-hip incision. Over time your scar will fade so it will be barely visible; if you want to aid the healing process talk to your surgeon about using Bio-Oil, or similar products on the incision at your six week post surgery consultation.
Mini Tummy Tuck recovery does require time off work, and some patience, as your body recovers. Following your overnight stay in hospital you will need to take at least two weeks off work. If you have children you will require assistance for their day-to-day care immediately following surgery. If you are unable to take time from work you may benefit from Non-Surgical Skin Tightening or Non-surgical Fat Reduction.
To ensure the best results you will also be required to wear a specialist post-operative garment for six weeks. You should be fully recovered after eight weeks, at which point you can resume gentle exercise.
Who should have a Full Tummy Tuck?
A Full Abdominoplasty addresses areas of concern both above the belly button and below towards the bikini line. A Full Tummy Tuck surgery is far more extensive than a Mini one.
While you are standing, or sitting, if you have excess and loose skin clearly visible over your body and above the bikini line, you may be suitable for a Full Tummy Tuck. This excess is commonly the result of multiple pregnancies or significant weight loss, and cannot be addressed through exercise and healthy eating.
If any excess skin is only below the belly button and above the bikini line you may only require a Mini Tummy Tuck, if you have any questions your surgeon will be able to advise you during your consultation.
At your consultation, you will discuss whether a Mini or Full Abdominoplasty is right for you. If you proceed with a Full Abdominoplasty any excess, saggy skin and fat in the abdominal area will be removed and the skin and muscles tightened. In addition, stretch marks may also be removed. The overall result of a Tummy Tuck is a flat stomach with taut muscles; many people experience at least one drop in dress size. For a more defined result many women choose to have a combined Liposuction treatment to the hips and thighs at the same time.
The surgery itself will be performed under general anaesthetic and takes between two to three hours. Your Cosmetic Surgeon will make an incision across the base of your stomach, from hip to hip before repairing, repositioning and tightening the damaged, stretched abdominal muscles with internal stitches. Your surgeon will then remove any excess saggy skin, muscle and fat before pulling the remaining skin into position and stitching back into place.
Following your surgery you will have scar that sits from hip to hip and around the belly button. With dramatic weight loss your surgeon may be required to perform a double abdominoplasty which results in vertical scar from navel to rib cage and another from hip to hip. Any scars as a results of surgery are generally hidden by underwear and over time they will fade so they will barely be visible. If you want to aid the healing process talk to your surgeon about using Bio-Oil on the incision at your six week post surgery consultation.
A Tummy Tuck recovery does require time off work, and some patience, as your body recovers fully. Following your overnight stay** in hospital you will need to take at least two weeks off work. If you have children you will require assistance for their day-to-day care immediately following surgery. If you are unable to take time from work you may benefit from Non-Surgical Skin Tightening and Non-Surgical Fat Reduction. Your nurse will advise you of your aftercare guidelines before your surgery so you have time to many any necessary arrangements.
To ensure the best results you will also be required to wear a specialist post-operative garment for six weeks. You should be fully recovered after eight weeks, at which point you can restart understand gentle exercise.
Choosing to have a Tummy Tuck
If you constantly feel self-conscious about your figure and how you look, it can make it really difficult to be confident in yourself and affect your daily life. It can stop you wearing outfits you’d love to look good in as well as drain your mental energy. Having a firm, flat stomach can make a huge difference to the way you feel and when it’s not possible to achieve this through diet and exercise alone, Tummy Tuck surgery can be the right option.
An Abdominoplasty is particularly popular with new mums and with those women who have lost a significant amount of weight and have been left with excess, loose skin. The surgery is carried out under general anaesthetic and is used to remove any excess skin and fatty tissue, reshape the area and create a slimmer, smoother and tighter abdominal area. Women who are looking to achieve a slimmer waistline* often combine Liposuction and Tummy Tuck surgery.
It’s important to understand that Tummy Tuck surgery is not designed for weight loss. You will experience some loss of weight and reduction in clothing as the excess skin removed will impact your weight. However, a Tummy Tuck is primarily performed to tighten and remove the loose, excess skin gained from pregnancy or dramatic weight loss. Due to the nature of the surgery, Tummy Tucks are only recommended when there is no other suitable option available*.

Patient care and safety is our number one priority. That’s why we insist on a minimum of two pre-surgery consultations, a full assessment of your current health and medical history before your surgery.
We provide some of the highest quality aftercare available, where you will continue to have full access to your medical team.
We have clinics located nationwide so you are never far away from your nearest clinic
All of our clinics are registered with the Care Quality Commission (Turkey ) and Healthcare Inspectorate Wales to ensure we always perform to the highest standards
Our surgeons are specialist Plastic Surgeons, by only performing cosmetic procedures that have become experts – or Masters – in their chosen field.
At UNI HAIR CLINIC Group we only operate from world class facilities.
As an ethical Cosmetic Surgery provider, we do not perform Cosmetic Surgery on people under 18. We do not set an upper age limit for Tummy Tuck surgery. However, the older we get the longer it takes our bodies to recover, so your Cosmetic Surgeon will assess your current physical health and medical history to ensure you’re fit and well enough to undergo surgery.
The results of Tummy Tuck surgery will last for many years if you maintain a healthy weight.
However, it is important to be aware that our bodies change as we get older, so you may find that your skin loses some of its elasticity. If your weight fluctuates this may be exacerbated.
Because our bodies change dramatically during pregnancy, if you plan to have a family we recommend waiting to have Tummy Tuck surgery. However, this is not a medical requirement and is something you should discuss with your Cosmetic Surgeon.
Yes. Tummy Tuck surgery is not a recommended weight loss method as it primarily tightens loose skin on the stomach. If you have the surgery then lose a significant amount of weight, you may find that you need to have another Tummy Tuck to remove further loose skin.
In some cases it can but we can’t guarantee this. Because the surgery involves pulling the skin taut and removing any excess, for some people the appearance of stretch marks can be reduced.
Full recovery from Tummy Tuck surgery usually takes between six and eight weeks during this time you are required to wear a light support garment. Some bruising and swelling is expected. It’s important that you attend your post-operative follow up appointments. You will need to take up to two weeks off work following Tummy Tuck surgery. It’s likely you will need help with daily chores during the first week to avoid putting unnecessary strain on the lower abdominal area. In the first six weeks you should avoid any strenuous activities.
With a Full Tummy Tuck, the incision will be made as low on the abdomen as possible so any scar will sit below your hip line and be hidden by your underwear or bikini bottoms. An extensive tummy tuck may also require a scar from navel to breast bone.
With a Mini Tummy Tuck the incision will be made as lower on the abdomen, closer to the bikini line, and will be smaller – only slightly larger than a C-Section scar.
Your scar will be visible in the first few weeks but should fade quickly until it’s barely noticeable. If you’re worried about scarring, please talk to your Cosmetic Surgeon and read about our highly effective scar revision treatment.
The risks with Tummy Tuck surgery are the same as with any surgical procedure performed under a general anaesthetic. However, your Cosmetic Surgeon will talk you through these before you make any decisions.
You don’t need to take any long-term precautions, however you will need to avoid any strenuous exercise in the first six to eight weeks.
It is important that your Cosmetic Surgeon is fully qualified and experienced. To ensure your Cosmetic Surgeon is reputable, check the clinic is registered with The Care Quality Commission (CQC) or The Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW). You should also look for Cosmetic Surgeons who are registered with The General Medical Council (GMC) and ask if they are carrying out Cosmetic Surgery procedures on a daily basis.
Your full and quick recovery is our main priority, that’s why you will be seen by a fully trained, qualified medical professional to understand the recovery process and aftercare. Following your Tummy Tuck procedure, you will stay in hospital overnight so we can monitor your progress and ensure you’re recovering as expected. When you’re ready to go home we’ll give you printed advice to take with you, as well as a number to call 24 hours a day if you have any questions or concerns. Follow up appointments will be arranged and it’s imperative you attend these so you can receive ongoing aftercare from your team of medical professionals.
At UNI HAIR CLINIC we highly recommend researching all of your options when considering surgery to ensure you are happy with your decision.
One possible option is the NHS, who operate with BAPRAS and BAAPS surgeons, and we highly recommended speacking with your GP to see if the NHS can help. However we have found that increasingly there is a reluctance to perform ‘comsetic’ procedures, particularly a tummy tuck, on the NHS.
We see many patients who explain that the wait for their procedure is either too long or they have been advised that they are not presently eligible. For example many women who come to us have been told that they need to maintain a BMI below 25 for two years before they can be placed on the long waiting list. Often the excess skin is the cause of the increased weight and they find it impossible to drop their BMI lower.
Also, many surgeons who work with the NHS how are required to perform a wide number of surgerys, this means unless they are specialists e.g.gynaecologists they may not frequently perform tummy tuck procedures. At The UNI HAIR CLINIC are surgeons are dedicated Cosmetic Surgeons who are specialists in their field of expertise.
lifting the area directly above the eye, opening up the eye area and making the face look younger
Varicose Veins are swollen and enlarged veins that usually occur on the legs. They can ache and be uncomfortable as well as causing other symptoms such as swollen feet and ankles. The appearance of the veins may be blue, dark purple and often bulging in appearance and can be cosmetically unpleasing. At The UNI HAIR CLINIC Group we understand that this can impact your daily life and are here to help.
Varicose Vein treatments can offer relief to this condition and improve the overall appearance. We take time to diagnose varicose veins and then discuss the right options for you.
Step 1 – Attend a No-Obligation Consultation
Step 2 – We carry out an ultra-sound scan to diagnose the vein problem
Step 3 – An expert surgeon will then provide a bespoke treatment plan to address your vein issue
Vaser Liposuction, also known as ‘Ultrasonic Liposuction’ because of the ultrasonic energy and technology applied, is a state-of-the-art, minimally invasive Fat Removal procedure. The ultrasound energy targets unwanted fat whilst preserving important tissues such as nerves, blood vessels, connective tissue and Collagen to promote rapid healing. By removing both the superficial and deep fats around muscle groups, it enhances the visibility of the underlying toned muscles beneath. The result is a reshaped body that is more defined and sculpted giving you a svelte, toned and shapely appearance.
For the best results it is essential that your surgeon is a specially trained in VASER Hi Def Liposculpture, or you may receive a more refined version of traditional Liposuction with no added sculpting.
Before Vaser Liposuction Surgery
From your first consultation you will meet with your Vaser Liposuction surgeon to discuss your expectations and potential results. At your consultation you will be weighed – you must have a BMI below 28 – and measured for your bespoke garment, required for your aftercare programme.
On the day of your procedure your surgeon will draw very detailed and precise markings on your treatment area(s), these will be unique to your physique and will replicate your underlying anatomy. The markings will then define where the surgical sculpting is going to occur. You will then be made comfortable and ready for your surgery.
During Vaser Liposuction Surgery
Vaser Lipo can be performed with a local anaesthetic with light sedation or under general anaesthetic. The method of sedation chosen will usually depend of the extent of your procedure and the number of areas to be contoured, your surgeon will discuss this during your consultation.
Liposculpture surgery has several steps:
Saline solution
To begin, the treatment area(s) are filled with a tumescent anaesthetic solution. This helps to shrinks the blood vessels, consequently minimising blood loss and reducing post surgery bruising. It also makes it easier to break up the fatty tissue with the Vaser ultrasound energy.
Ultrasonic energy
Small probes are then used to transmit an ultrasonic energy wave which breaks apart and emulsifies the fatty tissues between the skin and muscle. This unique process ensures other important tissues largely remain intact resulting in faster recovery times. This process highly targets the desired area and allows your surgeon to remove the fat and etch your contours to simulate a naturally toned and defined physique.
Extraction
The liquefied fat is then removed using a very small hollow metal cannula (via very discrete incisions that are between 3-4mm in size so scarring is minimal) which is then inserted and directed through the area of emulsified fat. The cannula then gently removes the fat through using suction technology and is often combined with a massage technique. Then your specialist trained Vaser surgeon gentle creates the desired contours out of your muscle structures for a toned and defined physique.
Any residual fat is excreted naturally by your body after surgery, giving the final result of a more toned body during your recovery process.*
After Vaser Liposuction Surgery
As there is minimal disturbance to the surrounding tissue your recovery time is swift. Please see our comprehensive Vaser Liposuction aftercare page for more information.
For optimum results and a faster recovery time we recommend a course of Manual Lymph Drainage massage.
Vaser Liposuction results and benefits vary and are different for every individual. Specific results cannot be guaranteed.
Vaser Liposuction is the surgical removal of fat from specific areas of the body. The Vaser Liposculpture procedure is so precisely targeted that it can be used on areas that traditional Lipo cannot treat.
The most common fat removal areas include:
Vaser Liposuction Aftercare Guidelines
While the recovery process is different for everyone, Vaser Liposuction does involve more extensive aftercare that traditional Liposuction. The more commitment you put in during your recovery process the better your results will be; your final outcome will not be clear until two or three months after your procedure. The optimum aftercare programme includes a very dedicated use of bespoke body compression garments, as well as post-procedure ultrasound, lymphatic massage and correct exercise and nutrition.
Your treated areas should look great and retain their sculptured appearance for as long as you remain the same weight. If you gain weight, you will generally gain it in areas other than those that were treated.
Post-Operative Recovery
You may experience some fluid leakage from the incision areas for the first day or two after your procedure, this is tumescent fluid and is a product of the local anaesthetic. It may be blood tinged which is perfectly normal so do not be alarmed; however anything pronounced should be brought to the attention of the clinic.
Within 7 days following your surgery, depending on the area treated, you will have a wound check to assess your sutures which should gradually dissolve. Avoid getting the incision area wet as a warm moist environment harbours bacteria and may lead to a possible wound infection.
You will return from theatre with your bespoke compression garment in place, you must wear this continuously until you are advised by your surgeon that you may remove the garment. Please be advised that if you stop wearing your bespoke liposuction garment before you are advised you will not experience optimum results.
You should expect some bruising, swelling and pain after your procedure; some swelling may linger for several months. You may also feel like you’ve lost sensations in the areas treated, this is perfectly normal and is not a cause for concern. As your nerves begin to regenerate feeling and sensation should return to normal.
Immediately following your surgery you should expect some mild, and easily controlled with your prescription medication, discomfort. This only lasts for a very short period with most patients up and walking around comfortably after a day or two; please be aware that you may require some assistance in the first 24 to 48 hours following surgery. Pain medication will be prescribed to control any discomfort, however, if you begin to have severe pain, contact us immediately. We strongly advise that you do not take any medications containing aspirin one week following surgery.
Short-Term Aftercare
With many insurers your car insurance will be void for 24-48 hours after you have had a general anaesthetic administered. After this time we would recommend that you avoid driving, for approximately seven to ten days, as you may find some of your movements restricted while the brusing and swelling goes down.
Vaser Liposuction surgery requires minimal downtime, which means you can return to a gentle daily routine within a couple of days of your procedure – depending on the area treated. We advise that you take at least a week off work to enable you to recover fully. Over the next two or three weeks your treated areas may remain very sensitive and strenuous physical activities should be limited; during this time you can gradually return to activites such as light lifting and sex. Your surgeon will give you clear advise of the activities you can undertake, based on your treatment area, during your consultation.
Immediately after your surgery you will have had a bespoke Liposculpture compression garment, this is an important part of the healing process. Your garment must be worn for between four-six weeks, as advised by your doctor, to aid healing, reduce swelling and, most importantly help ensure a good contour to your treated areas.
Long-Term aftercare
For optimum results we advise that your long-term post-operative care will also included a tailored course of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) Massage. We work very closely with an MLD specialist if you choose to make that part of your recovery process.
For optimum results we recommend investing in a course of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) Massage which helps to speed up the recovery process, eliminates any swelling or accumulation of liquid in the body and helps to get rid of any remaining toxins.
The MLD massage technique can be used after Vaser Liposuction as little as 48 hours after your procedure, to help speed up your recovery. It combines an ultrasound treatment which is followed by a manual massage. By manipulating the lymph at the dermal-epidermal junction (1-2mm deep, the thickness of 4-5 sheets of paper) the technique aids the body process and eliminate excess fluid from the deeper layers as well as from shallow depths and negative spaces. MLD ensures better skin retraction, reduces stiffness in muscles, thereby improving your immediate post-surgery mobility, and has a therapeutic, anti-inflammatory effect on tissues.
After 6 weeks you should be fully recovered and able to undertake more strenuous and physical exercise just as jogging and heavier weight lifting. If you are still feeling discomfort, or are not confident about returning to a more physical routine please discuss this with your liposculpture surgeon who will be happy to discuss your concerns with you.
Vaser Liposuction results and benefits vary and are different for every individual. Specific results cannot be guaranteed.
Vaser Liposuction is performed with a local or general anaesthetic, so you won’t feel any pain during the procedure*.
If your procedure is performed under local anaesthetic sedation will be available to you. Speak to your practitioner who will be able to advise you on costs during your free, no obligation consultation.
You can expect to feel some discomfort and soreness for up to two weeks after the procedure, though patient experiences will vary because everyone has have different pain thresholds and healing rates*.
*Vaser Liposuction results and benefits can vary and are different for every individual. Specific results cannot be guaranteed.
The length of time taken to perform Vaser Liposuction will depend on the number and size of areas being treated; however, it generally takes between one and two hours to treat up to three areas.
At UNI HAIR CLINIC Group, a significant number of our Liposuction patients are men. The most popular treatment areas for men are the chest, stomach and ‘love handles’.
Vaser Liposuction can be performed with either a general anaesthetic or local anaesthetic with sedation. This decision will be made with your Surgeon and will depend on your preference and your suitability.
Some patients will see results immediately, most see a significant improvement 6-8 weeks after the procedure. However it can take up to 6 months to achieve the final result*.
* Vaser Liposuction results and benefits vary and are different for every individual. Specific results cannot be guaranteed.
Vaser Liposuction requires an incision to be made and is therefore a Surgical Procedure undertaken in a hospital operating theatre by our highly qualified and experienced surgeons. At The UNI HAIR CLINIC we also offer a Non Surgical Laser Liposuction Treatment called iLipoXcell.
Vaser Liposuction can be performed as a day case, however in some circumstances, depending on the number of areas treated and your suitability, the Surgeon may require you to stay overnight. This will be discussed with you during your consultation with the Surgeon.
Our highly experienced Surgeons will treat up to four areas in one operation, depending on your suitability and requirements. Your Surgeon will discuss the best treatment for you to receive optimum results in your consultation.
Vaser Liposuction should not be used as a weight-control tool, but rather undertaken when you are at your optimum weight. If you maintain your weight with a balanced and healthy lifestyle after the procedure the removal of fat cells means it is possible to gain up to four kilos before noticing a change in the treated area. However, no fat removal procedure removes all fat cells from the treated area so you may see some fat return.
If you maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle you will not experience fat pockets in the area treated or other parts of the body*. Any weight gain, or loss, you do experience will tend to be proportionately distributed over your entire body*.
It is worth noting that not all fat cells will be removed from the treatment area for the sake of your health, therefore significant weight gain will affect the treated area*.
VASER means Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, referring to the energy used to liquefy the fat cells of the treated area.
Vaser Liposuction, though minimally invasive, is a surgical procedure which is performed by our highly qualified and experienced Surgeons in one of our world class hospitals.
Many people find that they have excess skin on their tummy as a result of pregnancy or dramatic weight-loss. While Vaser Liposuction will tighten skin* it is not able to treat large areas. To remove significant excess skin we recommend a Tummy Tuck, also known as an Abdominoplasty.
lifting the area directly above the eye, opening up the eye area and making the face look younger
If you are unhappy with the way your arms and thighs look, then you are not alone. For many people, the joy and achievement of losing a significant amount of weight can be overshadowed by the excess skin that is left behind. Once the skin has been stretched beyond capacity due to weight gain, natural growth or pregnancy, stretch marks can appear. If the weight is then lost again, the skin may struggle to shrink back into place and instead start hanging in loose folds from certain areas of the body. Arm and Thigh Lift surgery is performed to remove this excess skin to leave the thigh area tight and smooth, and giving you the body confidence you deserve.
Arm or Thigh Lift surgery usually requires an overnight stay in hospital as it is performed under general anaesthetic and takes between two and three hours to complete. To perform the surgery, your surgeon will make an incision around the top of the thigh (near the groin) before pulling the excess skin upwards, stitching it into its new position and trimming the excess. The result will show the results of your weight loss, giving you smoother thighs and the confidence to wear summer clothing, swimwear and underwear proudly.
There are many reasons why people choose to have Arm or Thigh Lift surgery:
The final decision will be made between you and your Cosmetic Surgeon. The procedure is most suitable for those patients with excess skin folds after excess weight loss.
The UNI HAIR CLINIC Group has been committed to providing excellence in Cosmetic Surgery and Non-Surgical Solutions in turkey since it was established. During this time, we have developed a full understanding of the many reasons why people have Cosmetic Surgery and how it can improve how they feel about themselves.
If you are a smoker, or take aspirin or any other medication, your Cosmetic Surgeon will wish to discuss this with you at your consultation. Your Cosmetic Surgeon will advise you when you are to discontinue and/or resume these activities.
The day of Your Arm or Thigh Lift surgery
The Cosmetic Surgeon will visit you in your room prior to surgery to answer any last minute questions you may have. When you wake up from the Anaesthesia you will be offered pain relief should you require it. The amount of time that you will be required to stay in hospital, will be agreed with your Cosmetic Surgeon prior to your admission.
Going home after Arm or Thigh Lift surgery
Your Cosmetic Surgeon will advise how much time you will require off work and when you will be able commence normal activities.
It is important to keep the wounds dry during the early days and leave all the dressings intact until you return to the clinic, for your follow-up checks to ensure that everything is healing properly.
It is very important that you attend the follow up post surgery appointment which has been made for you, to care for your wound and see your Cosmetic Surgeon post-operatively to make sure that you are healing well.
You will have your own personal Nurse Counsellor both before and after your procedure to support you and answer any questions you may have.
Recovery from Arm or Thigh Lift surgery
As with most cosmetic surgery procedures it is completely normal to experience swelling to the area, as well as some bruising and this will go down two to three weeks after surgery. In addition to this most patients feel tightness in their thighs and this is completely normal and this sensation will reduce at the same time as the swelling and bruising. Your stitches will be removed approximately seven days after the surgery and you will be advised to avoid exercise for a month to give your thighs time to fully recover. You will also be advised to take one to two weeks off work.
It is important that your decision to have a Cosmetic Surgery procedure is considered carefully. There are many points that should be considered before deciding to have any type of Cosmetic Treatment or Surgery.
There are also some possible risks, as with all surgical operations, which your Cosmetic Surgeon will talk through and explain to you at your consultation, answering any questions you may have. This is your opportunity to discuss your intended surgery in order that the Cosmetic Surgeon can ascertain your expectations as to what can realistically be achieved.
